The Darbari Waldorf School has been closed since July 7, 2022 but we are following our former students in their education (see details below).
Since 2016, Darbari Waldorf School has been open to Dalit (untouchable) children.
A very big thank you to all those who made a donation to support the families of the villages near the school during the period of confinement. We were thus able to send 1900 euros and thus distribute fruits and vegetables.
Project to create a dispensary in Darbari
Initially, implementation of a “first aid” project in the DARBARI school for students:
treat sores and know how to refer to a doctor or hospital if necessary
train all teachers in first aid gestures (1 day per year)
identify one of them as a referent, who would be trained and accompanied a little more
supplies of local basic products to be provided from the association's budget
Punctual interventions of Thierry Lagrange on the spot to bring his skills in the project "1st aid" and to continue to dig the project "dispensary" by deepening his knowledge of the local context (visits of villages, identification of the possible actors, determination of the modes of interventions …).
Setting up sponsorship for students in higher education
Continue to expand the school, building classrooms to cover 8 or 9 classes (1 per school year)
